About
DJ Jacob got his start in the music industry ten years ago with training in music production and recording. He has a gift for sound production and installation. As early as his teenage years he was running sound for musicians and installing sound systems. Through these years of experience he developed a passion and acute ear for quality sound. He has headed tech teams for a variety of events such as: concerts, theatrical productions, and church and corporate events. At all of these various venues the most important thing that he provided was quality sound in that moment. This was something assumed and reasonably expected that he would provide.
After attending a wedding where the DJ played the YMCA three times, making announcements with a mic feeding back; he knew something needed to change in the industry. In the events he had run on a tech team quality sound was assumed. At a wedding, on the most important day of your life, or if a DJ is hired to run a corporate event or event of another form, why is this not assumed?
Quality sound, and a quality DJ, can make or break an event. If the sound is run well, the event runs well; if it is not it sticks out like a sore thumb. In the six years that DJ Jacob has been DJing he has done close to two hundred events and running them as well as a sound engineer in any other venue has been a priority. It is important to have good sound at a wedding so that all of your audience hears the music accurately and hears the speeches that are being made without feedback. With quality sound your guests do not get fatigued by the music, something you do not want at any party!
Because of this dedication to his craft, DJ Jacob is progressive in his field. He is now forming his own brand as a technical, adaptive DJ. To do this he wants to reach out to others in the industry, seeking to assist them in preventing similar mishaps like at the wedding DJ Jacob attended that got him into the industry, and unfortunately so many others like it. He wants people of all ages to go to an event that he DJs and enjoy the music and the party and feel comfortable while they are there.
Jacob has worked over 75 of the top venues in Northeast Florida; River Club, White Room, Casa Monica Hotel, Omni Hotel, River City Brewery Company, Ritz Carlton, Jacksonville Country Club, World Golf Village Resort, Cummer Museum, Deer Creek Country Club and Everbank Field home of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
